Privacy Policy
"Chinese Crossword" (「中文填字」, the "App") is developed and operated by uhuoban. The App is an offline Chinese crossword game that can be used in full without creating an account or signing in. We take your privacy seriously; this policy explains how the App handles your information.
1. Information We Collect and Store
- The App does not require or offer account registration or sign-in.
- Your game progress, coin balance, Simplified/Traditional preference, and other settings are stored only on your device; they are not uploaded to any server of ours (the App does not have a backend server).
- If you previously used an earlier iOS version of the App, your legacy save data is migrated to the new version automatically, and this migration happens entirely on the device without any network transfer.
2. Advertising
This release contains no advertising and does not integrate any advertising SDK or ad-tracking service.
3. In-App Purchases and RevenueCat
Paid items in the App (such as coin packs) are purchased through Apple App Store / Google Play's official in-app purchase channels; the transaction itself is handled by Apple / Google, and we never see your payment card details.
To validate purchases and support "restore purchases," the App uses a third-party service, RevenueCat, as its purchase processor. RevenueCat receives:
- an anonymous App User ID generated by RevenueCat (it does not contain your name, email, or other identifying information);
- the purchase receipt (used to validate the transaction with the App Store / Google Play);
- basic device information (such as device model, OS version, and app version, used for troubleshooting and statistics).

4. Feedback
If you use the in-app "Feedback" feature, you may voluntarily submit feedback text, an optional screenshot, and optional contact information; each submission also includes your app version, OS version, and the name of the page you were on, to help us diagnose the issue. This information is processed by our operator's FeedbackHub service (data is stored in Shanghai, China) solely to respond to and address your feedback — it is never used for advertising, and no advertising identifiers are collected.
5. Information We Do Not Collect
Other than what you voluntarily provide through the "Feedback" feature above, the App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location data, and we never sell any data to third parties.
Images produced by the "share result" and "share for help" features are drawn entirely on your device. The share feature generates the image entirely on your device and uploads no data — no puzzle screenshots, no game progress, nothing — to our servers (the App has none). Where the image goes, and through which app, is decided entirely by your system share sheet and by you.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without a guardian's consent, please contact us at the email address below and we will address it promptly.
7. Your Rights
- Because your progress, coins, and settings are stored only on your device, uninstalling the App deletes this local data; we retain no copy on our servers (as the App has no server).
- For purchase refunds, please follow the refund policy and process of the Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and note the change in the app's release notes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
